My Story

My Story

I am a fully qualified and insured accredited member of ASSVAP and IRVAP. I am also on the RAMP register. Before studying as a veterinary physiotherapist, I gained a 2:1 honours degree in Equine Studies. During my degree my favourite subject was biomechanics which led me to my interest in physiotherapy. The care and well being of horses is very important to me. I have ridden horses for many years and have a keen interest in dressage, although I do also enjoy competing at show jumping. I have previously worked on professional yards and am experienced in handling competition horses. One aspect of my physiotherapy work that I particularly enjoy is rehabilitation after injury. As injury is commonly a result of poor posture, physiotherapy is highly beneficial as with a combination of treatment and remedial exercises, I can help to make the gradual improvements to both static posture and movement. Whether the horse is used for leisure activities or competition, I will always recommend achievable exercises for your and the horses level. I work on a freelance basis and cover Warwickshire and the surrounding counties. Appointments can be made at weekends if required.
